Obituary of Arnold E. Sposato

Arnold Sposato, 72, of Bethlehem, PA, formerly of Gig Harbor, WA, Centerport and Huntington Station, died Monday, August 13. Arnie was born to Sam and Madeline (Rose) Sposato in Huntington. He attended St. Hugh of Lincoln Catholic School, graduated from Huntington HS and Rider College. He co-owned the family business, the Bay Deli in Halesite, for several years before taking on advertising sales for CQ Communications in Hicksville where he was the Advertising Manager for decades. Arnie was active in many of his local Church's ministries and regularly visited the sick in hospital ministry. He and his wife Marie enjoyed traveling, retreats, and their grandchildren. Arnie is survived by Marie, his wife of 50 years; three children, Caren Fitzpatrick (Michael) of Ellicott City, MD, Sara Sexton (Jon) of Gig Harbor, WA, and Adam Sposato (Bethany) of Putnam Valley, NY; brother Leonard (Theresa), two nieces; and eight grandchildren. Viewing at M.A. Connell Funeral Home in Hunt. Sta. Sunday, August 19 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass at Saint Hugh of Lincoln RC Church in Huntington Station Monday August 20 at 9:30am followed by burial at Saint Patrick's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donatios in Arnold's name can be made to: St. Hugh of Lincoln Parish Outreach, 21 E. 9th Street, Huntington Station, New York 11746.
