Retired NYPD Police Officer passed away after a courageous battle from a 9/11-related cancer stemming from his official deployment to Ground Zero assisting with the rescue and recovery effort following the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Beloved husband of Mayra. Loving father of Dominick, Catherine and Lauren. Cherished son of Angela and the late Dominick. Dear Brother of Denise Pileggi and Debra Diem. Visitation M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Avenue, Huntington Station, Monday & Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian burial St. Elizabeth RC Church, Melville. Interment St. Charles Cemetery.
