Carmine DiCunzolo passed away Friday April 20th after a short illness. He was born in Italy November 25, 1931. Although his family owned a farm he yearned for a more technical vocation. He apprenticed as an Electric Motor Winder at the age of 16 and quickly became a Master Mechanic. He was an expert in motor winding, machining and troubleshooting supervising many large installations.. He could repair any machine. He married Josephine in 1957 on the island of Capri. He suffered a tragic accident in 1964 that left him permanently disabled. Not willing to accept his disability he became a partner in his own business in the early seventies and later retired in 1992. He was a car enthusiast building and repairing dozens of cars over his life. He would also repair extended family members cars at no cost to them.
He is survived by his Wife Josephine, Sons Gerald, Joseph and Anthony, Daughter-In-Laws Rhonda and Karina. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grand children.
He was an inspiration to us all! His work ethic, single-mindeness of purpose and sacrifice for his family stood as a beacon for us to be guided by.
There was never a challenge that he wouldn't accept or fear!
His love of cars and all things electro-mechanical is shared by all his sons and grandchildren! His innate curiosity kept him discovering his whole life. He was married to Josephine for 61 years and they had a passionate relationship.
May he rest in peace for eternity!
