Lou was a man with a gift of humor. He was a “raconteur extraordinaire” with a wide range of experience: NYS Trooper, 16th Precinct cop who rose to the rank of Lieutenant in the early days of a new concept then, Crime Prevention. Admired and cherished by his friends and colleagues. Louie will be missed by me.

Dear all. I am so sorry to hear about Lou. We Naumann's were blessed to have the Gervasio's as neighbors. It was like one big family. Lou was such a happy person and was always there for the neighbors. After my Dad's accident, there were many, many, many times an ambulance had to rush him to the hospital. He would not let the medics put him on the stretcher or in the ambulance. It had to be Lou. We knew his deep love for Dolores and his family. My sister, Marianna, would come from Jersey and we would go out to lunch with Lou. I miss those days. Growing up on 209th Street was such a wonderful time in my life. Now Lou is together again with his beloved Dolores. May he Rest In Peace. And God comfort his family. Love, Doris Naumann Gribbin
