Dear Vita Bridget and family.
We have never met but Paul and I were friends in the Army. We met while on KP at Fort Monmouth, NJ.That was a miserable time like many others but thanks to Paul we had many laughs to get through it all. We went to Germany together and worked at the same communications facility although in different jobs. We just clicked and this country bumpkin was always entertained with his stories of home, girl friend, mother, father, sister, brother in law. I was married at the time and Paul wanted to be and was working on going home on leave to get married . We parted company when we were discharged, both anxious to start our lives when the military was through with us. I thought about and wondered about him more times than I could count. I told and retold stories about the laughs and times we had together to family and friends.
I started to look for him some years ago with obviously no success but my kids helped me while I was visiting them this weekend.
Sadly I learned of his passing. I would have loved to have talked to him one more time but it was not meant to be.
Please accept my sincerest sympathies. He was a special friend.

To our Uncle, Godfather and Brother-n-law Paul,
We shared too many family milestones from the good ole days in Brooklyn to now. Those special times and our journeys together will never be forgotten. We are missing a piece of our family. "Being on Melville" will not be the same. May you rest in peace and run freely again in heaven. God Bless.
Forever Love,
Sister-n-Law Mary, Brother-n-Law Paul, Nephew Jason, Goddaughter/Niece Erika, Matt and Baby Calista.
