To Joanna and family: Dennis was a very special man, aside from a great husband, and father he was the Ultimate patriot. He served his nation in war time with honor and courage and continued his service with his actions with the American Legion. From inspiring retired American Flag drop boxes, starting the American Legion Riders, serving as a Post Officer, Judge Advocate and of course spearheading the Vets in the classroom program and supporting many Rider missions and fund raisers. . I feel proud and honored to have known and worked with him. His legacy at the Post and as a Vietnam Veteran will never be forgotten. We all are on the same path Dennis has embraced and your consolation is he is resting in peace now and we will join him in the future. We have ordered an engraved brick in his memory, to be placed at the Wall of Wars Memorial Garden at the Northport VA. May God rest his soul and console you and your family in this trying time.
