Nicolai, Katharina, 97, of South Huntington, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on December 26, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Karl. Loving mother of the late Christa Karin Kempf (the late Kurt). Cherished Oma of Michael (Lori) Kempf, Kenneth (Lauren) Kempf and Allen (Beth) Kempf. Dear Nana of Jason (Emily), Ryan (Jennifer), Katherine Castilloneso (Saljoe),Dawn, Victoria, Alexa, Samantha and Michael. Caring Nanny of Ava Katharina. Visitation Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station. Funeral Mass Friday 9:45 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, Huntington. Interment to follow at Melville Cemetery, Melville.
