Mother Jeanette Elizabeth Baskerville was called to her heavenly home at 10:33pm on Thursday, December 9th, 2016 at the age of 70. She was born April 10, 1946 in Charleston, SC the daughter of the late James Drayton and Isabell Spann-Drayton. At the age of 18, Mother Baskerville moved to Brooklyn, NY and later joined the New York Police Department’s Division of Transportation. During her 28 years of service she obtained the rank of Captain and met her spouse of 37 years, William Baskerville. Upon retiring from the NYPD, she joined the Roy K. Davis Bus Company as a bus matron for 6 years. She was a devout Christian accepting Christ as her Savior at the tender age of 6 at the Reformed House of God in Charleston, SC under the leadership of the late Bishop Aaron Moore, Sr. She had a special place in her heart for the youth, where many considered her as their second mother. She had a special love for her Pastor, Apostle D.F. Allen and was a founding member of her church, Salvation & Deliverance. During her 35 years of service she filled many positions that included Missionary, Youth Ministry President, choir director, board member, trustee, and Head Mother of the church. Mother Baskerville opened her home to many, clothed the needy, fed the hungry, and there are countless who have felt her loving way of discipline.
