Shalley, Joseph M., 92, of Hicksville, on September 16, 2016. He was a proud WWII Navy Veteran and retired as Lieutenant from the FDNY after 31 years of service. Beloved husband of Edna for over 65 years. Loving father of Patricia Newton (Dwight), Michael (Janet), Ray (Carol), Jeanne Robbins and Mary Dodge (C.J.). Cherished grandfather of Raymond, Catherine, Lynne, Michael, Tricia, Annie, Brendan, Brian and Kyle. Visitation Sunday 9/18, 2-7 PM at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station. Funeral Service Monday 9:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to: St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 in Joseph’s name would be greatly appreciated.
