Cooney, Stephen Francis, 57, of E. Northport, formerly of Huntington, suddenly on February 23, 2016. He will be remembered as a devoted father and a fun-loving friend. He was also an avid scuba diver. Stephen is the loving father of Ronan and Rachel and their mother Carrie. Cherished brother of Thomas (Pat), Michael (Julie), Gerry (Jen), Eileen Lahm (Peter) and Madeline Cooney. He is loved and will be missed by his many family members and friends. Visitation at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station on Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass will be on Saturday at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Melville at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to a fund for his children’s education will be set up in the near future. All donations can be sent to Cooney Education Fund, PO Box 80, Huntington, NY 11743
