So very sorry to hear this. "Big" as he was affectionately called, was a truly genuinely kind and gentle person. My condolences to the family. As an ex spouse of a close family friend i had the pleasure of enjoying association over a period of 9 yrs. Although its been some time since I've seen him, I've never forgotten the love I was shown. I will keep you all in my prayers. I too am looking forward to the Bible's promise of a time when there will be no more death or suffering but life eternally. Psalms 37:29

I met John in 1999 and worked with him on a few building restoration projects. He impressed me as a very fine man, an excellent manager, and a tough but fair negotiator. I learned much from him and I am better for having known him. I and my colleagues at Merritt Engineering send our deepest sympathies to John's family, friends, and co-workers.
