Well, it all began a couple of years ago when the boys were all drafted to the Orioles baseball team.... The kids & the parents clicked immediately.. That was the begining of many cherished friendships..He was so much fun to be around.. his sarcastic sense of humor would always make you laugh & he clearly had a love for life! Keith was an amazing man, husband & father & it was obvious to anyone who knew him that he loved his family & the life they shared. May God Bless Gina, Joseph & Gaby as they go through this very difficult time. Keith will alway live on in our hearts... Love, Suzanne, Grant, Alexa, Nick & Chris

He drew a circle that took you in,
His clever wit and brazen grin,,
Amused you with his gawking gaze
Infinite charm and prankster ways!
Though I sit in silent disbelief,
Remembering Keith’s life so brief,
My sorrow hopefully will wane away,
When I recall his banter of the day!
Deepest sympathies to Gina & family!.
Keith will always be remembered as a man without an expiration date!

'Life is but a stopping place,
a pause in what's to be, a resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys, different paths along the way, we all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker, for some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends, we'll claim a great reward, and find an everlasting peace,
together with the Lord.'
Rest in Peace dear Keith, you will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Dowling family.

It is said that death is part of life -- but in this instance, when one so young and full of life and spirit as Keith is taken -- it is beyond a tragedy. His unique and succinct outlook on life, his sharp wit and sense of humor, his burning brightness and his unfailing love for his family will live forever.
Although the world is far emptier without him, I embrace the years we worked together and am enriched for having shared the short time with him. My loving thoughts to Gina and the kids at this increduly painful time and always.

I have known Keith since his time in Buffalo. Although I hadn't seen him in a number of years, we were trying to find a mutually convenient time to meet up in the city during my business trips there. Sadly, it didn't work out. Keith will forever be remembered by his smile, his sense of humor and quick wit. I will forever consider myself lucky to have had him as a friend. My thoughts, prayers and love go out to his family that I feel like I know through his wonderful posts about them.

It's amazing how everyone is where they need to be in life...and being there at the right time and place, is where I believe Keith and I were.
I started working at DE, not even a year now. I'm actually on a separate floor and away from the rest of the staff, which made the few interactions I’ve had with Keith, more meaningful.
There are few men in this day and age, whose constant mentioning about his wife and kids even exists. Man, let me tell you... this guy loved his family! I respect and honor that like you can’t even imagine.
My family and I have prayed and continue to, that God give Keith's family the grace, peace and comfort through these trying times and that they know and understand...the life he lived, the person, the husband, the father he was, is the Keith that will always live in each and every one of us. For every man, father, son, brother, employee, friend, human who's reading this - remember: although Keith is no longer with us bodily... he lived for the right purpose[s] and will always be in our heart.
I, as I'm sure everyone else, who knew Keith, was truly blessed to have met him.
Poignant verse from James 4:13-15
13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— 14 yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. 15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.”

Keith had the unique gift of being able to distill life’s truisms into incredibly sysinct and profound one-liners. I can’t quote him in this forum as we both shared a love for colorful language. However, I will attempt to summarize the essence of our conversations over the years. He reminded me that life can be completely random, the best you can do is manage the cards you have been dealt, and that a keen sarcastic wit is the highest form of intelligence. I am a better and more complete person for having known him. He influenced the way that I, and everyone who knew him, view the world. The ability to influence the way people think is one of the greatest indicators of a meaningful life that was well lived. Taking yourself too seriously was not an option with Keith. Why would you want to? He was one of the funniest people you would ever know. He lives on in the stories and memories of our youth and in the love of his family.

I just can't help but think of Keith's smiling face. And his smirk. He made me laugh. I loved working with him. I loved fish n chips and a beer at the pub, although it had been way too long since we had our last round. He had a great spirit, a wonderful outlook on life. He loved his wife, his kids. He knew what mattered. I believe in heaven, and he is there. Although he may not have thought he would be...he is really there. Sooner than we would have liked. <3

I worked with Mr. Dowling, as I liked to call him, at Wace/Seven/AGT in the 90's. I was pleasantly surprised when he walked into the doors of my current job @ Dig Ev about 2yrs. ago, or so, a nice addition to the team... His sense of humor, Love of Family and all around a Great Guy is what made you unique. I was the last person to see Keith on Monday when he left the shop... I will forever remember his last words to me.... I wish I had questioned him more about what was going on... My Prayers, Heart and Condolences go out to Gina Emma, Gabriella, Joseph and Family. May God cover you guys at this extremely painful time.

My sincere condolences to the Dowling family. It is amazing to think how a person can touch other people's lives without even realizing it. Keith bartended at a bar in Buffalo that me and my friends used to frequent in our youth, and he was always such a great guy to be around. Although it has been 20 years or so since I've last seen him, I always remember him with a smile on his face, a welcoming demeanor, and a genuine friendly personality. I was so saddened to hear this news, and it right away took me back in time...I just wanted you to know that even across time and across miles, he is not forgotten and will always be remembered fondly by a good number of people who had the good fortune to cross paths with him in this lifetime. May you be comforted in your time of sorrow and may Keith rest in everlasting peace.

Keith and I were college roommates back in the early 90's. That is to say we lived together while we were suppose to be attending classes at the University of Buffalo. Although we lost touch in the intervening years, I am blessed to have recently re-connected and happy to say his sharp wit and humor hadn't dulled a bit in our time apart. I remember working together in our 20's at my brother's bar and the large circle of friends Keith always surrounded himself with. My heart goes out to his beautiful family and know how desperately he'll be missed. You went far too soon my friend and the people you leave behind as you travel away from us will love and remember you forever.
