Florence (Mechkowski) Creen
CREEN - Florence (nee Mechkowski), 75 of Huntington, on August 13, 2011. One of the founding members of Holy Name of Jesus Church in Woodbury and also served as a Eucharistic Minister. Beloved wife of Joseph for 52 years. Cherished mother of Laura (Tim) Duffy, Michael, Mary and the late Kenneth and Joseph Jr.. Adoring grandmother of Ian, Morgan, Kelsie, Joseph III, Ryan, Meaghan, Rhys, Trevor, Colby and Melanie. Dear sister of Sophie Jaworski, Steffie Dzwill, Alice Marchinek, Theresa Zdrojeski, Cecelia Blihar-Muzante and the late Chester Mechkowski. Florence will be missed and loved by many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation at M.A.Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave, Huntington Station on Monday and Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass will be held Wednesday, 9:45 AM, at Holy Name of Jesus Church, Woodbury.
