MURPHY - Thomas P., 75, of Huntington, peacefully on July 10, 2011. An Educator in N.Y. State for 38 years. Graduate and longtime benefactor of Iona College. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Toolan) for 47 years. Loving father of Christine Danforth (Ted) and Thomas M. (Pia). Adoring grandfather of Corey, Scott, Kevin and Teddy Danforth, Alessandra, Peter and Charlie Murphy. Devoted brother of Sister Regina Murphy SC. Visitation at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station, NY on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass will be held at St. Patrick's RC Church, 400 W. Main St., Huntington on Thursday at 10:45 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Hallows High School Scholarship Fund, 111 East 164th St., Bronx, N.Y. 10452 in Tom's memory.
