Beatrice C. Grimes
GRIMES - Beatrice C., 80, of Huntington, on June 20, 2011. Retired teacher of the Westbury School District for over 35 years. Volunteer for the Opening Word Literacy Group, Mentor of the Elwood Middle School as well as Eucharistic Minister at Huntington Hospital. Beloved wife of Francis. Loving mother of Rosalind Gazes (Stephen) and the late Vincent (Gayle). Cherished grandmother of Shannon and Meredith. Dear sister of the late Nat and Sam Carino. Devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews. Visitation Thursday and Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station. Funeral mass Saturday 9:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Greenlawn. Interment to follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Huntington. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 249 Broadway, Bethpage, NY 11714.
