My friend, I think of you often. Our trips to the city, our road trips and teenage clubbing days in Nyak. Over the bridge again, we go to Miracles to get free drinks and side eye from the guys. In the car to the Hamptons eating mint M&M's and listening to tunes on tape. Playing pool (poorly, I might add) in the senior rec room. Drawing in art class, remembering how talented you were. The amazing jewelry you made. Our college days and excitement about getting married. I didn't know you passed until I heard later. I remember speaking to you on the phone, trying to make plans to meet up. You sounded different but I assumed it was because you were busy. I didn't know, my friend. If I did I would have been there in a blink. So sorry we missed each other at the end. It passes so quickly, you know and then...gone. Perhaps we will meet again and sip Long Island ice teas (virgin, of course!). Wink, wink... or enjoy dessert or party like it's 1999. You never know what the future will hold but the memories will stay. We'll go to the beach and enjoy the sun and wear bikinis but hide them under long shirts all day and talk about our boyfriends of past or the fun we will have later that night. Love ya, sister! See you again, one day.
