HINES - Robert J., Sr., "Slim", 87 of Centerport, on February 2, 2011.Proud WWII Veteran. Member of IBEW Local Union #3 for over 65 years. Beloved husband of the late Catherine "Pinky". Loving father of Joseph (Amy), Thomas (Laurie), Donald (Eve), CarolAnn Hines-Young (David), the late Cathy Marciniak (Peter) and the late Bobby Hines. Cherished grandfather of Aran, Anna, Robert, Tyler, Ryan, Austin, Joseph, Leanne, Alexa, Mary Grace, Cassidy and Holly Danielle Dear brother of Betty Shippam. Visitation M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station, Friday and Saturday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Monday 10 AM. Interment Northport Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Nature Conservancy.
