We, as a family, send our thoughts and condolences to the Hoey family, as well as everyone that was touched by Ed throughout his full life! We will always remember his kindness, his engaging handshake and smile. Ed had a wonderful sense of humor and you always felt a smile was not too far away when you were in conversation with him. Dear Helen and family, You are all in our thoughts and prayers. You and Ed were such a spark to all of us at Maidstone. So many wonderful times and lots of laughs. You always talked about your wonderful family and all of the get-togethers you had with each other. You have a very strong, loving family and sincere friends. Never did Ed's energy and enthusiasm for life seem to dim. Through all the days at IBM and later as we gathered to renew friendships during the Christmas season, his smile and warm greetings were always a welcome sight. I hope to be with you for the Mass on Tuesday, but send my condolences and sympathy to all of you, his treasure, his family.

We were truly saddened to hear the news of Ed's passing. Although we didn't know him as well as we would have liked, he was a very strong, and happy-go-lucky guy. The most family oriented father, loving husband, and truly one of the best Grandfathers we've ever seen. We know that he and Helen never missed any of the special moments in their grandchildren's lives. Ed has been taken from us way too soon, and he will truly be missed.
