John A. Robbins ROBBINS - John A., passed away peacefully at home November 14, 2009. Survived by Pamela, his beloved wife of 56 years, loving father of seven children, Debbie, John, Richard, Renee and Stacie predeceased by Delyce and Cheryl; also devoted grandfather of 15 grandchildren. Born in Huntington, March 30, 1928, he served in the army during the Korean War. Founded his own construction company in 1965, which is still in operation. Active in many ways in the Knights of Columbus, also the Huntington Lions Club. A very active member of the Huntington Country Club for over 35 years. A parishioner at St. Patrick's Church in Huntington where he served as an usher, reader and fundraiser. At the age of sixty he realized an ambition by learning to fly a single engine airplane which he thoroughly enjoyed. Visitation at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station, Tuesday 2-5pm & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, St. Patrick's Church, Huntington. Donations would be appreciated in lieu of flowers to: Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk, 505 Main St., Northport, NY 11768.
