Jessie M. Mellon
MELLON - Jessie M., of Melville, formerly of Bellerose, gently on April 17. She was a story-teller and delighted in recounting episodes of her long, colorful life. She was known to break out in song at a moment's notice. Jessie was an avid golfer and was still walking the course at age 91. When asked what her greatest accomplishment was, she always said "my family". Beloved wife of the late Charlie Mellon. Devoted mother of John (Christel), Mary Catherine Bellero (Joseph), the late Patrick (Doris), and Charles (Sandra). She was adored by her 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave. Huntington Station. Mass Wednesday 10:30am at St. Elizabeth's RC Church, Melville. In lieu of flowers, memorialdonations may be made to Long Island Alzheimer's Foundation,5 Channel Drive, Port Washington, NY 11050.
