My wife and I just found out about Jenn's death. It is amazing the impact that this news had on us given that we only knew or been around her for 1 short weekend at the Country Music Awards. I can't imagine what it must be like for those of you who were
privileged to have been around her for all or most of her life.
She seemed to epitomize the phrase that "pain is inevitable, suffering is
optional". Her courage, optimism, spirit and strength continue to inspire both
of us. I guess she finally was so strong, she was simply able to let go. Both
Daryl and I feel so blessed and privileged to have been in her radiant glow for
just a few short moments. However, where she used to be, there is now a hole
left in the world. One that is obviously much larger for those closest to her.
Please know that we extend our sincere heart-felt sympathies to the rest of the family and to her husband. He is an amazing man. A guy who really stuck around. He honors all of us men in not running from the unknown but embracing it. She has now ascended to a place far better than this.
My wife and I plan to revisit Nashville and when we do, we are going to "hit the honky tonks" like Jenn had wanted
to do the next time and celebrate a very short-lived life, but one lived very well.
I felt blessed to experience such a radiant light.
