Praise God!!! i bring not only condolences to the family from all of those who knew Allen but won't be in attendance but as well, a fond farewell from them for him.
Allen was my brother. We met in the Spring of 1972 and became quick, hard sincere friends. We shared our struggles and losses together as well as our victories. Like i will never forget the night when his son, Scott was stabbed and killed. the pain out of which he screamed was something i had never heard before and hope to never hear again. on the other hand the joy that filled his voice as we stood on the beach this past summer and watched his bride, Cookie, walk down the sand for their marriage, and he quietly said to me, his best man, "Rainey, she looks like a million dollars!" I smiled and said to him, "You'd better remember this on those days when she gets on your nerves." we both laughed. He was the consumate big brother who would try to warn me and keep me out of trouble, of course most of the time i wouldn't listen and would have to run back to him for bail out tatics! i can't begin to imagine how much i am going to miss Allen or "White Boy" as i used to call him. when you have or had the kind of friendship and love that we enjoyed, it doesn't matter how frequently you see each other because it's always good, even if it is the next lifetime. I am so greatful to say that he recently confirmed his acceptance of Jesus Christ as his Lord And Risen Savior. Him doing so allows me the privelege of saying to my last big brother, Rest safe in His arms. See You Next LifeTime, White Boy, I love you.
always, your sister, Rainey
