Obituary of Carl Louis Cozzette

COZZETTE-Carl Louis, 82, of East Northport, on May 13, 2015. Beloved husband of Katherine for 59 years. Loving father of Stephen (Shuei-ing), David (Nadine) and Kathryn Klefenz. Cherished grandfather of Stephanie, Kimberly, Shannon, Brianne, Kristyn, Derrick, Keith and Dominic. Predeceased by his 7 brothers and sisters: Frances Bruno, Hortense Groccia, Mary Passafaro, James, Charles, Anthony and Dominick Cozzette. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. After graduating from SUNY New Paltz, he served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Alaska, where he began his teaching career. In 1958, he returned to Huntington, where he had graduated from Robert L. Simpson High School, and became a teacher in the Huntington School District. At one point in his 33 year career in Huntington, he was the final principal of Robert L. Simpson Jr. High School which then became the Huntington Town Office Building. He enjoyed being an avid bowler in serval leagues. He served on the executive board of the Sons of Italy Perry Como Lodge. He was also an honorary life member of the K of C St. Joseph Council. Visitation Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station. Funeral Mass Monday 9:45 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, East Northport. Interment Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton.
