Just recently found out about the passing of my dear friend Vilma. Although we attended different schools, God introduced her into my life through our mutual sport of Track and Field, where she excelled to the top of her event. The moment we met, I knew she was someone very special. Her smile and personality would brighten everywhere she went. She was truly loved by all who met her, including her competitors on the track!!! If anyone in our lives was truly “Heaven Sent”, it was Vilma!!!! Through the Military and my civilian life I have been around the world and met countless people along the way, I can honestly say my dear friend Vilma has a soul so precious there is no other I can compare it to. I would like to say, “May God Bless Her Soul”, but I honestly feel it was blessed since birth. May God bless us all as we are grateful for the short amount of time we were able to spend in her presence. May God bless us all as we strive to be as wonderful a human being as Vilma. And may God continue to bless Vilma’s soul, keep it safe, and may we someday reunite with our dear Vilma in Heaven someday.......
