ASHER - William C., 97, longtime resident of Huntington and Mineola, on August 4, 2014. Pharmacist and owner of Asher's Pharmacy and Asher's Liquor Store in Mineola. Beloved husband of the late E. Rita Asher. Loving father of W. Gerard (Sylvia), Brian (Suzanne), Andrea Kane (Gene) and Randy (Cathy). Cherished grandfather of 7, step-grandfather of 2 and great-grandfather of 6. Visitation Wednesday 7-9 PM and Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station. Funeral Service Thursday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to: VNS Hospice of Suffolk, 505 Main St., Northport, NY 11768 in his name would be greatly appreciated.
