Thoughts and prayers to Rons family at this time from a co-worker from "across the pond". Conversations with Ron were such great fun, a great colleague, someone who was always willing to give you his time even when he did not really have any. A sad day but a person to celebrate.

What I will remember most about Ron was his wonderful generosity as a musician and friend. His joy in making music was contagious, and he was so good at encouraging everyone around him. An unbearable loss for those of us who loved him.

I was shocked and saddened by the news. Ron reached out to me a few years ago on Facebook and it was such a treat. I have so many wonderful childhood memories. Some of them are vivid; first of all, as kids we always called him Ronzie. I remember Mary and I working his Pennysaver route with him, bagging all of those flyers on Saturday nights, painting the fence, endless games of hide and seek. Then there was the organ he mastered, his little sailboat, complaining about finding "red hairs" in his razor (proof his sister was using it) and of course my very first date was with him at the Babylon Movie Theater. It was my 12th birthday. He and his family were a big part of my childhood and I grieve with them and his wife, who he obviously adored. Please know he is remembered in my heart and in my prayers.

My memories of Ron, singing as he played at a location, and he gave me my one and only "paid gig" dollar, signed by him; I still have it where I can see it. He was so very talented. The times I spent with Ron and Edith, so much fun, and always caring ways. May he be blessed and in a heaven I believe in. May Edith find the strength to go forward and remember all the good times. I am with both of them in heart and spirit. Love, Gail

So many simply happy memories of Brooklyn and Babylon with our Lazar cousins! Ronnie taught us about magic and spaceships... his creativity, intelligence, curiosity, and joy in entertaining others, already blossoming at such a young age! I'm grateful for the too infrequent times we crossed paths as adults. Love and miss you, Ronnie. Love and healing prayers to Edith, Mary, Ron, Mary, Jeannie, and Annie.
