Obituary of Ellen M. Els

Ellen Marie Els, 77, beloved wife of the late William G. Els, died Saturday, December 28th, 2013, at home in Dix Hills surrounded by her family. Mrs. Els met her husband William G. Els through mutual friends and they wed in September 1958. Mr. Els passed on in February 2006. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. Her children describe her as hard-working, energetic, reliable, devoted, generous, kind, funny, and spunky. Mrs. Els leaves behind William H. Els,and his wife, Patty, of Deer Park, NY; Colleen Panholzer of Yorktown, VA, Sharon Els and her husband, Andrea, of Gloucester, Massachusetts, Christa Gigliello, and her husband, Marc, of Melville, NY, and 9 grandchildren. Mrs. Els is also survived by her brothers, John and Stephen. Mrs. Els was an advocate of Right-to-Life efforts and a weekly adoration participant at St. Elizabeth of Hungary R.C. Church, Melville, New York. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Right-to-Life efforts.
