Obituary of Harold J. Healy

HEALY - Harold J., 88 years old, died on July 5, 2013. Beloved husband of Judith for 57 years. Son of the late Martin of Ballylea and Della of Shragh, Ireland. Brother-in-law of Laura Higgins and Anthony Spina. Much loved uncle of James Higgins, Judith Faiella, John Higgins, Laura Mannino and Monica Spina; granduncle of Wayne Higgins. World War II Navy veteran ("Seabee"), serving his country in the Pacific theater, '43-'46. Former history teacher at W. Trespar Clarke High School from 1954 to 1986. Graduate of Fordham College, Cl '49. Resident of Lloyd Neck for 51 years, serving the community for fifty years in various positions including the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Lloyd Harbor (30 years), the Board of Directors of the Fiddler's Green Association, and the Chair of the Road Committee of the same.Viewing Sunday, July 7, 2013, 2-4pm and 7-9pm, M. A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station, NY. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 9:45am at St Edward the Confessor RC Church, Syosset, NY.
