Although I did not have the honor of personally knowing my cousin Shameka,reading the other memories & talking to friends who did know her gave me an insight on this young woman who shared her light & spirit with the world. I'm so sorry that I could not attend her home going service today! I pray that God blesses Shamekas eternal soul & grant peace & serenity to her fiance & the entire Wilson/Edwards family! Shameka spiritual form has left her earthly body, but that same spirit that she posessed is share by each & everyone who knew & loved her & will never die as long as we remember always remember her! I remember holding Shameka in my arms when she was a baby. I was so nervous I afraid that I was going to hurt or drop her, then she turned and looked me at me with her soft eyes as she held the bottle in her mouth and smiled. At that moment I felt something come over me and the nervous was gone. I will never forget her or her beautiful smile. Rest in peace my angel, rest in peace.

Shameka was one of those special students/ and later co-workers. She was so supportive of all presented to her. All I see and hear us her beautiful smile, along with her giggle. As we were texting each other a few weeks ago, she was telling me how happy she was to be engaged to our son Frederick and that she's glad to be our daughter-in-law.
