Obituary of Ruth A. Agnese

Please share a memory of Ruth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
AGNESE, Ruth Agnese, of Hamden, Connecticut passed away April 18th, 2013, on her 51st birthday, at St. Raphael Hospital in New Haven. She was a woman who truly had it all. She was a loving wife to Tony Agnese and wonderful mother to her two children, John and Erica, all while maintaining her position as president of one of New York's most prestigious real estate appraisal firms. Ruth stayed active in both the Hamden and New York community; she produced the St. Rita's plays while her children attended school there and helped with many fundraisers for Women in Need (WIN). Ruth shattered the glass ceiling of the real estate community in both Connecticut and New York, appraising such sites as the Empire State Building and World Trade Center, winning ABO's Appraiser of the Year Award in 2009, and being recognized as one of the Top 50 Women in Real Estate, to name only a few of her many accomplishments. Ruth will be sorely missed every day by her family, friends, and colleagues. Ruth also is survived by her sisters Lisa Ryan and Joan Bosco as well as her brother Paul Andryauskas and 13 nephews and nieces. Her beloved brother Mark Andryauskas passed away in January 1986. The family will receive friends and family at M.A. Connell Funeral Home 934 New York Avenue, Huntington Station, NY Monday fom 2PM to 4PM and 7PM to 9PM. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday 10:30 AM at St. Hugh's Church, Huntington Station. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.
