Huntington NY - Alice DiAndrea went home to God on August 13, 2026. Born in Glen Cove, NY on October 16, 1927, Alice lived her entire life on Long Island where along with her beloved late husband Arisilio “Ozzy” DiAndrea she raised 6 wonderful children Linda, Richard, Frank, Joseph “Joey”, John and Mary.

Alice lived for her loving family and was happiest in the company of her children, 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was a wonderful, accomplished cook and Sundays were often dedicated to family meals where her famous homemade raviolis were the most requested dish along with her delicious meatballs, pasta and countless other homemade delicacies.

In 1979 Ozzie and Alice decided to move to Huntington, NY to be closer to their business in Greenlawn, Island Pump & Tank, and to provide a better quality of life for their growing family. Like their home in Glen Cove the house in Huntington would be a backdrop for countless family holidays and cherished memories. One of Alice’s favorite ways to spend time was to simply sit on her porch and watch her family swimming in the pool, enjoying each other’s company after a home cooked meal was served.

Alice also enjoyed going to Atlantic City with her husband and family where they spent many weekends at Harrahs and Trump Casino playing slot machines. Closer to home, she enjoyed bingo, going to local restaurants with family, watching game shows and attending the Saint Rocco’s Feast in Glen Cove.

In 1972 along with her husband and children, Alice and family became owners of Island Pump & Tank Corporation which employed many family members and in-laws, but also hundreds of people in the local community over the course of decades. Alice was a very hard worker often working two jobs while raising six children to help support the family while her husband worked to make the family business a success.

Alice was a quickwitted, Italian woman who loved a good laugh and straight, direct, honest conversation. Even during the golden years of her long life, Alice’s family still gathered around her, making her the focal point of family events right to the end. It was often noted that she remained sharp as a tack and never lost her edge.

She enjoyed listening to Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, The Ink Spots, Perry Cuomo, and various types of music from the 40s through the 60s. Known for her lead foot behind the wheel, many light hearted family stories centered around her various driving adventures. Including talking herself out of a speeding ticket by “politely” disagreeing with the officer.

The matriarch of a well-known established family Alice leaves behind 35 direct descendants ranging in age from 1 to 76 years of age. Her legacy of love and dedication to her family will live on forever. She is rejoined now in heaven with her beloved husband, Ozzie, son Joey and all of her family members who have passed on to the afterlife.
