Marie Bruns, 90, of Huntington, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Born in Huntington on June 6, 1936, Marie was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend who treasured time with family and longtime seasonal escapes.

She is survived by her daughter, Annamarie Hyne; grandchildren TJ, Michael, and Matthew; and siblings Eugene, Billy and Pat, and former Son-in law Tom Hyne. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred, and her brother, Jackie.

Marie loved summering in the Adirondacks and spending winter months in Florida and the Bahamas. An avid knitter, she delighted in making sweaters and outfits for friends and family, and was known for her warm, welcoming spirit.

A wake will be held at Connell in Huntington, NY on Sunday from 2–6 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at St Patrick’s Church.
