JOSEPHINE PETRIANO 

Josephine was born September 26, 1930 to Antonio and Saveria Imbesi, in East New York, Brooklyn. When she met and married (at age 19) the love of her life, Vinny, they moved to Queens Village, where they added children, Thomas (“Tom”) and Frances (“Fran”) to their family. They left Queens Village for Elmont, NY, then Massapequa, Holtsville, Arizona, and Florida, returning to live in Patchogue in 2017. Josephine resided at Island Nursing and Rehab in Holtsville for the last two years, where she was cared for by many wonderful people.  Our family is truly thankful for everything they did to keep her safe and happy each day. 

Josephine is survived by her devoted children Tom (Karen) and Fran (Gary), who she often referred to as her “Four Gems”.  She was predeceased in 2018 by her beloved Vinny (with whom she shared 68 years of marriage), her brothers Santo and John, and her sister and best friend, Angelina (“Lee”).  She is survived by her brother Anthony (“Tom”, Sun City West, Arizona). 

Josephine’s loving family was her greatest joy. Although we grieve her loss and will miss her terribly, we take comfort in knowing there is great joy in Heaven as she is reunited with the many friends and loved ones that have gone before her.
