Miranda, Harry, 79, of Huntington, NY in April 2026. Beloved husband of the late Valerie (Kushnir) Miranda. Devoted son of Edie and Frank Miranda. Loving father of Daniel (Sara Damiano) and Paul and adoring grandfather of Hannah and Henry.

A proud lifelong New Yorker, Harry was a devoted Mets fan, an avid bird watcher, and a lover of chocolate cake, and delighted in sharing these passions with his family and friends. Together with Valerie, Harry loved Caribbean cruises and road trips throughout the Northeast. He relished cheering for Daniel and Paul at their cross country and track meets and later took great pride in watching Dan’s and Sara’s marathons and supporting Paul’s work and travels abroad. In recent years, he embraced his new role of grandfather and enjoyed reading books and visiting playgrounds with his grandchildren. 

Visitation Wednesday April 15, 6-9 pm, with family remembrances at 7:30 pm, at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station. Brief service at the funeral home on Thursday April 16 at 10am, with interment to follow at Greenfield Cemetery, Uniondale.

In recognition of Harry’s devoted support of Valerie, memorial donations may be made in Harry’s name to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org).
