Salvatore William Galasso, born May 31, 1932, passed away peacefully to join is wife Eleanora "Lee" (Cirianni). Sal was born in Manhattan and grew up in Far Rockaway, Queens. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1952-1954, and a longtime real estate man in the Huntington area. He raised a family of five, Anthony (Noreen), the late William, Marie, Chris (Cheryl), and John (Alison); as well as ten grandchildren and one great grandson, James. He belonged to St. Patrick's parish, where he also served as a Eucharistic Minister.
When Sal was a working man, both he and Lee were in real estate and their home was always filled with conversations about houses and deals. In their free time they enjoyed days on their boat, visiting the harbors of the North Shore. Later in life, they spent years bouncing back and forth to Florida's West Coast for extended periods, with family vacations thrown in too.
Sal was always there for advice, especially when it was related to the business. He enjoyed his family and the freindship of the many people he met throughout his life.
