It is with great sadness that we share the sudden passing of Sean Hanley (John S. Hanley) on January 24, 2026. He was a lifelong Huntington resident, member of Local 1500 for 50 years, and father to two daughters who were his greatest pride and joy. Sean will be remembered for his love of life, music, movies, the beach, a good laugh and everything Irish. He made everything fun and brought laughter into every room he entered. His love for music led to his many years as a DJ, but the true legacy he leaves behind is the way he made everyone feel genuinely loved. He remembered the little things—like your favorite song—and used them to show just how much you meant to him. 

He will be deeply missed by his loving daughters Ashlin and Meghan, and their mother, Sandra; his siblings Patrick Hanley, Michael (Debora) Hanley, Bridgette (Guy) DeAngelis; his mother and father-in- law Eva and Joseph Vitello; brother-in-law Philip (Jennifer) Vitello; his nieces Jaime, Madison, Maggie, Victoria and Danielle; nephews Patrick, Joseph and Johnathan, and his many friends.
