Viola Lund, 94, of East Stroudsburg, PA and prior residence of Amityville, NY passed away on Friday 1/23/26 in Huntington, NY.

She was born on December 26, 1931, in Jamaica, NY to Mildred and John Gordon.  She dedicated her life ‘s work to nursing.  She was an RN at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset for 40 years working as a head nurse in the ER and administrator of clinics.  

Viola is survived by her 5 nieces and nephews and 10 great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lund; parents, John & Mildred Gordon; brother, John Gordon; sister, Margaret Keaney and a niece, Barbara Gordon. 

A memorial service will be held at M.A. Connell Funeral Home on Saturday, January 31,2026 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
