Poelker, Christina, 85, of Melville, passed away on January 17, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Richard A. Poelker. Loving mother of Karen (Matthew) Horch, Sandra (Paul) Scudieri, and the late Richard L. Poelker. Adoring grandmother of Ryan Horch (Olivia Scofield), Michael Horch (Paulette Mohacsi), Jenna (Ralph) Miranda, and Alyssa (Joe) Abdilla. Dear great grandmother of Nicholas, Michael, and Thomas Miranda; Vincent Abdilla, Adair Horch, and Eloise Mohacsi-Horch. Cherished sister of Louise (Steven) Hurley and Joann (Tom) Kiernan.

Christina cherished spending time at gatherings, playing mahjong, and sharing her time and creativity with her knitting club. Above all she loved dinners with her family all together. She is loved and will be missed by her family and friends.

Memorial visitation will be held at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Avenue, Huntington Station, on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM. A Memorial mass will be held Friday at 9:30 AM, at St. Elizabeth’s Church, Melville. Interment to follow at Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale.
