Meystrik, Frank, 87, of huntington passed away on January 12, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Frank was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, educator, coach, and friend. He lived his life with quiet dedication to his family, his students, and the sports he loved.
Frank was the beloved husband of Norma Moebus Meystrik. He was a loving father to Joanne Cicio, and her husband Al Cicio; Frank Meystrik, and his wife Donna; Dan Meystrik, and his wife Diana; Jim Meystrik, and his wife Noel. He was a proud grandfather to Joe Cicio and his wife Danielle, James Cicio, Amber Meystrik, Dean Meystrik, Emma Meystrik, and Shelby Meystrik; and a great grandfather to Vincent Joseph.
Frank devoted his professional life to education. He was a mathematics teacher and chairman at Schreiber High School in Port Washington, where he began his teaching career in 1959. After 35 years of service, he retired in 1994, leaving a lasting impact on generations of students. After retirement he taught at St. Dominic's High School in Oyster Bay and at NYIT. In addition to teaching, Frank shared his passion for golf as a longtime golf coach at Schreiber High School. He also served as a golf coach at St. John's University, where he had proudly attended college. He was a starter and ranger at Crab Meadow and Dix Hills Golf Courses.
Outside of the classroom, Frank was an avid golfer and fisherman, persuits that brought him great joy and relaxation. He made his home in Huntington, NY, where he was a familiar and respected presence in the community. He was a prominent member of St. Patrick's RC Church, as we was a Eucharistic Minister.
Frank will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his commitment to education, and his lifelong love of teaching and coaching. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched both on and off the course.
