Clines - Joseph E. on December 27, 2025. Survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth and his three children, Mary Greco (Mark), Timothy (Joyce) and Peter (Elizabeth). Also survived by his grandsons Alexander, Matthew and Joseph II and sister Virginia Clines as well as brother-in-law Harry Mooney and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings Mary Clines Gallagher, Sister Margaret Clines, OP; Angela Clines Mooney; Sr. Mary James Clines; (Eleanor); Harold Clines and nephews Daniel Mooney and Paul Gallagher. Joe was born on February 20, 1932 in East New York, Brooklyn to Angela (Seifert) and James Clines. He was a loyal alumnus of St. Michael’s School, Garrison Seminary High School and St. John’s University (1956), where he edited his college newspaper, The Torch. He turned down a full scholarship to St. John’s Law School in order to serve his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He followed that service with a long, successful career at the New York Telephone Company. Joe will be remembered as a devoted son, brother, husband, father and grandfather, as well as a faithful and tireless servant of his Church. He treasured his family life, quietly loving and supporting us all. He will be missed.
