Obituary
Christopher “Chris” Scholfield, born March 3, 1968, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 10, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family and friends.
Chris is survived by his devoted wife, Jamie, with whom he shared a lifetime of love since meeting as students at SUNY Albany in 1987. They built a beautiful life together and would have celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary this coming January. He was a proud and loving father to his daughters, Samantha (Chad Terc) and Melanie, who will forever carry his warmth, humor, and compassion in their hearts.
Born to John and Helen Scholfield, Chris grew up in a close-knit family alongside his siblings Lisbeth, John, and Bonnie, all of whom remember him for his kindness, quick wit, and steadfast loyalty.
Professionally, Chris served as Director of Operations at Alden Global, where he was admired for his dedication, integrity, and the calm, thoughtful leadership he brought to every challenge.
Chris had a deep love of music, especially Classic Rock, and held a special affection for the band Devo, whose energy and creativity mirrored his own unique spirit. He was also known for his gentle connection with animals and children, who were naturally drawn to him. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and a feeling of safety to all who knew him.
Above all else, Chris was a man defined by love — for his family, his friends, his passions, and the world around him. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched with his generosity, humor, and open heart.
He will be profoundly missed and forever cherished.
