It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kenya Randel McCoy, age 40, who passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, at Gurwin Jewish Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born on January 25, 1985, Kenya was a beloved husband, brother, coach, teacher, and friend whose strength, kindness, and joyful spirit touched countless lives.
A proud former Huntington Blue Devils football captain and dedicated wrestling and football coach in the Cold Spring Harbor School District, Kenya inspired many through his leadership, mentorship, and unwavering resilience. His deep passion for coaching youth athletes and his commitment to community shaped every part of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Brianna LaFontaine-McCoy, his family, and an extended community that cherished him deeply.

A wake service will be open to all who wish to honor Randel and support his loved ones on Friday, December 19, 2025 from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at St. Patricks Church in Huntington, NY. The first hour will be a time of quiet visitation with a closed casket. A brief service will follow.
