Joseph Provetto Jr Obituary

Joseph A. Provetto Jr.

June 4, 1956 – August 24, 2025

Joseph A. Provetto Jr., 69, died in Land O’ Lakes, Florida, on August 24, 2025. Born on June 4, 1956, Joe lived a life defined by service, loyalty, and deep devotion to those he loved.

A retired police officer for the NYPD 45th precinct, Joe dedicated his career to protecting his community with integrity, courage, and an unwavering sense of duty. His commitment to justice and service earned him the respect of colleagues and the gratitude of countless people whose lives he touched.

Joe carried with him a deep love for the place he grew up—Bayside, Queens—and the memories, friendships, and neighborhood pride that shaped him. He also found joy in cheering on his beloved New York Yankees, and immersing himself in sports and moments that brought him excitement and connection.

Above all, Joe was a proud and devoted father, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his son Matthew; his daughter Kristine; his son-in-law Igor; and his cherished granddaughter Sofia, who brought him immeasurable happiness; his brother Anthony(Marie); and his nephew Anthony. His family was his greatest source of pride, and his love for them was constant and fierce.

Joe will be remembered for his strength, his loyalty, his sense of humor, and the warmth he brought to every room. He leaves behind a legacy of service, compassion, and devotion—one that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

May he rest in peace.
