She had many jobs throughout her lifetime. To name a few; the Huntington Credit Bureau, Singer Company in Syosset and later the Huntington Medical Group. Her work with various associates helped to forge life long friendships. As the years went on, Carmella became adapt at social media programs giving her the ability to stay in contact with friends and family. She used social media right up until her passing. An awesome feat for someone her age.
Her home was always open to friends and family. We think that she might have invented the doormat “ Welcome”. Being raised in a large family it all came natural to her. She had strong religious beliefs and moral values which helped to strengthen her relationships. She was a great cook and her delicious food drew many people to her home. It was her way of saying come in and enjoy yourself.
Carmella was the last of this generation to bring everybody together, she is the sole survivor living to be 96.
A void she have left in our hearts, but our spirits are filled with laughter, guidance, food, desserts and some rock&rye..but most of all a love that will transcend into the next generation. For it is up to us now to remind our children what it really means to be “grand” parent and for that, we are eternally grateful.
Although now she has left this earth, her spirit lives on with each and every one of us.
