Carol Gerard McCann, a lifelong resident of Huntington NY, died on November 16th, 2025 at the age of 93.

Carol was born on April 21,1932 to Leo and Genevieve Gerard, well respected local restaurateurs. She was the youngest of three and is predeceased by sister Genevieve and brother Robert. She was a 1953 graduate of Connecticut College. On October 8, 1960, she was married to David A. McCann. They were married for 37 years, until his death 1997.

Carol is survived by her children Peter (Kristine), Anthony (Mary), and Ellen (Philip) Kimura. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren Patrick(Alex) McCann, Madeleine(Kyle) Howard, Genevieve(Jake) Alu, Meghan McCann, Shannon McCann, Caitlin McCann, and David Kimura. She was blessed to welcome great grandson George Leo McCann, who was named in honor of cherished ancestor George Soule.

Known for her service to others through active volunteerism, she was an avid bridge player, an enthusiastic family historian and a font of Huntington lore. Carol was a proud member of both the Mayflower Society and the Ketewamoke Chapter of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution).

She will be remembered for her unwavering loyalty, faith, and love.
