Christine Buehler Haggard June 6, 1970 – September 4, 2025

Christine, 55, of Greenlawn, NY, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025.

Christine was born in Valley Stream, New York on June 6, 1970 to Raymond C. Buehler and Arlene Francis. She and her brother, Raymond Jr., always remained close. Christine graduated from Harborfields High school and pursued a career in nursing after moving to Texas.

Christine is survived by her daughter, RaeAnne Haggard of Manhattan, NY, Zach Haggard of Cedar Park, TX, dearest friend Scott Hobbs of Centerport, NY and her nephew, RJ Curth, of Huntington, NY. She was preceded in death by her father, her mother and her brother.

Christine married Shaun Haggard June 24, 1994 in Austin, TX on Lake Travis. Christine was a stunning bride in her sunset wedding, wearing her grandmother’s bridal gown. RaeAnne Nicole was born in 1995 and Kenneth Zach in 2001.

Christine shared a deep bond with her Omi, her maternal grandmother, whom she welcomed to live with her young family in Texas. From age 91 until her passing at 96, Christine lovingly cared for Omi in her home.

Her greatest legacy is the love and care she gave to her children, Rae and Zach, who she raised to be kind, strong and independent. Her nursing patients adored her; her presence had a way of easing pain and bringing peace.

Horses were a lifelong passion, and Christine shared her equestrian talent and love for animals with her daughter, Rae.

Christine’s life was marked by loss at a young age and later, by health struggles. But Christine rose above hardships with remarkable strength; she lived fully, she never lost her ability to laugh, she poured herself out in motherhood, she loved her family and her friends deeply. Christine was easy to be with, she had a light in her eyes, she made moments feel special and with her, life was filled with adventure and joy.

Though words cannot capture the depth of our loss, we will treasure our memories and honor her by living with the same spirit of love and strength that guided her.

Services will be held at M.A. Connell in Huntington Station on Wednesday, September 10th from 5 – 9 pm. Details to follow about a later celebration of life service in late September or early October.
