Ellen Pufahl passed away, leaving behind her cherished husband Jim, her beloved daughter Jessica, son Jimmy, Daughter-in-law Brittany, and her precious granddaughters Adeline and Evelyn. She was a devoted sister to Mary Gillespie, Kitty Wynne, Jenny Cundari, and Michael Gillespie, and a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews whom she deeply adored.

Ellen was the heart and soul of our family — our foundation, our comfort, and our greatest blessing. Throughout her courageous year-long battle with cancer, she showed remarkable strength, grace, and unwavering love. Her quiet courage, selflessness, and warmth left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She also had an unmatched work ethic and found deep pride and purpose in her role at Vanderbilt Elementary School, where she had the joy of working alongside her students.

Now, her journey here is complete, and she rests in peace, embraced by the angels. Her love remains with us, a guiding light we will carry in our hearts always.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Ellen's name would be greatly appreciated by the family.
