Obituary of Bryan T. Latten

Please share a memory of Bryan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

On Sunday, May 25, 2025, Bryan Latten, devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away at age 40.

Bryan was born on January 29, 1985 in Mineola, New York to Kathy (Schmaeling) and Lance Latten. Bryan was the only brother to four sisters, Alicia, Amy, Betty, and Kerriann. Bryan transformed his childhood obsession with computers and video games into a thriving career as a software developer working for both big companies and start ups, before starting his own company. On March 4, 2017, he married Christina Gemdjian and they welcomed their daughters Elle on October 17, 2018 and Charlotte on March 17, 2021. He loved being their dad and he was one of the best.

Bryan always had a smile and kind word for everyone. He was one of the most ambitious, self-motivated, intelligent, and thoughtful people. He never took anything for granted and lived his life with integrity and zeal. Bryan loved his family so much and set an example for balancing fatherhood with career. He was a positive force in this world and will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30th at M.A Connell Funeral Home in Huntington Station from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral mass will be held at St Elizabeth’s Church (175 Wolf Hill Road) on Saturday, May 31st at 9:30am followed by the burial at Huntington Rural Cemetery.
