Thea Ancewicz-Staib of Hilton Head, South Carolina, died suddenly on April 19, 2025.  She was 54.

Predeceased by her husband David Staib, she is survived by her children:  Alicia, Travis, Patrick, Zachary (Maggie) and her grandson, Lawrence.  She is also survived by her mother, Alicia Lawrence; her father, Peter Mavoides;  sisters Lora Gellerstein and Michelle Moratti; and brother, Peter Matthew Mavoides.  A memorial service will be held at M.A. Connells Funeral Home at 10:00a on Saturday, May 31st.  All are welcome.

Thea was an exceptional person.  She radiated joy, wrapped everyone she met with love and acceptance and filled every room with fun.  The world is a visibly darker place without her in it. She loved her children with an unparalleled ferocity, and they carry her lightness of spirit, and kindness forward.
