Obituary: Thomas Richard Maguire

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Thomas Richard Maguire, a devoted husband, proud father, and deeply loved friend. Tom passed away far too soon, surrounded by the family who meant everything to him.

Tom was a true family man. He was a loving husband and the proud father of two sons, Tommy and Nicky. His family was always at the center of his life, and he found his greatest happiness in simply being with them; sharing laughs, cheering them on, and making memories together.

Tom had a love for life’s simple pleasures. He was a passionate fan of New York sports, especially his Mets, and enjoyed playing and watching ice hockey and playing golf. He also adored his dogs, Caesar and Titania, who were never far from his side.

For many years, Tom served as a volunteer firefighter with the Halesite Fire Department. He gave his time generously, always ready to help others with strength and humility.

Those who knew Tom will remember him for his easy charm, sense of humor, and his gift for conversation. He loved to talk and connect with people. He made friends wherever he went and put those friends first.

Tom’s presence brought warmth and laughter into every room. Though his time with us was far too short, the love and kindness he shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kimberly (Hamilton) Maguire; his sons, Thomas and Nicholas Maguire; his mother, Arlene Jakubowski, and her partner, John Lochmandy; his father, Thomas Maguire, and his wife, Geri; his brother, Timothy Maguire, and his wife, Gai; and his sister, Kimberly (Maguire) Windle, and her husband, Clay, as well as numerous other relatives.
